* President of the Bluefield Area Bowling Association from 1990 to 2005.
* Held the positions of President, Vice-President, Secretary/Treasurer of different leagues at Mountaineer Lanes in Bluefield over the last 32 years.
We feel due to his extensive participation in bowling in Southern West Virginia that Roger Owensby definitely possesses the qualifications to be inducted into the West Virginia Bowling Hall of Fame. If you ask bowlers in the southern part of the state to name one individual who represents the sport of bowling, the answer would be Roger Owenby.
