C. Bernard Wallace
Hall of Fame, Class of 1996
Bernard Wallace has been bowling for 32 years, with a high
average of 190, the high game of 299, and a high series of 738. He has
participated in activities of the WV State Bowling Association for over 30
years.
Some of his bowling titles are all-events handicap winner in 1993,
City doubles champ in 1993, and a member of two City championship teams.
He is recognized as an elder statesman of bowling in the Parkersburg area
and others seek him out for advise. Bernard has been a active member of
the Parkersburg Bowling Association, including 5 terms as president, vice
president and other positions. He has been a certified lane inspector for
many years, a state zone director for 2 years, and WV state representative
to the YABA for 13 years.
In addition, he has attended bowling Jamboree's
since 1980 and several National Bowling Conventions. He is a respected
member of the Vienna Baptist Church where he served as Sunday School
Superintendent, Chair of the Christian Education Board, Youth Counselor,
Sunday school teacher, and a member of the Board of Trustee's. He is also
a member of the volunteer fire department. His hobbies include softball,
golf, and working on old cars. He is a energetic leader that works long
and hard for the good of bowling.
