Galen J. Gauntlett


A bowler for 43 years, Galen has served as director, Morgantown Bowling Association for 5 years, secretary/treasurer-executive director for 18 years, state tournament manager twice, Zone 2 state director, and Inspection Coordinator. He has been a member of various leagues as secretary/treasurer in Morgantown for many years. Galen is a very knowledgeable leader that is dedicated and committed to his responsibilities. Galen is also a trusted financial leader. He is president of the Morgantown/Fairmont Chapter of Credit Unions. He is assistant treasurer on the board of directors and chair of the credit committee of the Morgantown AES Federal Credit Union. He is life member Good Will Fire Company, Pottsville PA, Pulaski Lodge F&AM, National Institute of Certified Engineering Technicians, and Marklin Model Train Club. His hobbies are woodworking crafts and miniature trains.

 

Harry Price


Harry has been bowling for 35 years, with a high average of 207, high game of 299, and a high series of 764. He has participated in activities of the West Virginia Bowling Association for 30 consecutive years. Harry was Huntington Bowling Association City team champion in 1958, West Virginia match game champion in 1961, and won 6 of 7 matches over a 2 month period on television in the Big Three Bowling. He defeated Steve Nagy in 2 exhibition matches at Arcade Lanes. He also defeated Buzz Fazio and Lee Jouglard in a match in Detroit. Where his 12 game average was 221. He was president of the Huntington Bowling Association from 1958 to 1962. He is a member of the BPOE Elks Lodge Number 313, VFW Post Number 1064, in the Moose Lodge, all in Huntington. His hobbies are Gin Rummy and Poker. Mr. Price has been one of the Pioneers of Huntington Bowling and was one of the best bowlers of the 30-60's era. Harry owned Price Bakery, but is now retired.

 

C. Bernard Wallace


Bernard Wallace has been bowling for 32 years, with a high average of 190, the high game of 299, and a high series of 738. He has participated in activities of the WV State Bowling Association for over 30 years. Some of his bowling titles are all-events handicap winner in 1993, City doubles champ in 1993, and a member of two City championship teams. He is recognized as an elder statesman of bowling in the Parkersburg area and others seek him out for advise. Bernard has been a active member of the Parkersburg Bowling Association, including 5 terms as president, vice president and other positions. He has been a certified lane inspector for many years, a state zone director for 2 years, and WV state representative to the YABA for 13 years. In addition, he has attended bowling Jamboree's since 1980 and several National Bowling Conventions. He is a respected member of the Vienna Baptist Church where he served as Sunday School Superintendent, Chair of the Christian Education Board, Youth Counselor, Sunday school teacher, and a member of the Board of Trustee's. He is also a member of the volunteer fire department. His hobbies include softball, golf, and working on old cars. He is a energetic leader that works long and hard for the good of bowling.
