Samuel Spano
Hall of Fame, Class of 1993
A true sportsman, Sam has been active in the West Virginia Bowling Association for the past 29 years. He
has served as assistant director of our state tournament twice and has been tournament director of our state tournament
twice and has been the tournament director on two other occasions. He is currently the secretary
of the Weirton Bowling Association, just completing his 16th consecutive term in office.
Sam has worked hard in the
Weirton area promoting youth bowling. In addition, as a deacon in his Presbyterian church, he has been
an active leader in youth activities including organizing overnight bowling parties, excursions, and summer
camps.
The WVBA recognizes these many years of service and offers its sincere thanks by this induction.
